Southern Bride & Groom is excited to share some of our favorite photos, including many not seen in print, from the floral designers featured in our 2016 magazine. In this shoot, we enjoy colorful fiesta wedding flowers from The English Garden of Raleigh. They mixed hanging potted blossoms and lanterns and strung them from the rustic branch arbor at the Angus Barn Pavilion. There’s no need to travel south of the border to find garden flowers in every brilliant color you love! The rustic farm table is lined with its own natural foliage and blooming runner. Imagine an informal causal day-to-night wedding celebration of friends, margaritas and live music from a mariachi band.
The English Garden is a locally owned and operated full-service florist and gift store serving the Raleigh/Durham Triangle and its surrounding communities. As third generation florists, founders Warren English and Cydney Davis-English had the wonderful experience of literally growing up in the business—their mothers both kept playpens in the design room. More than sixty years ago, their grandmothers opened florists shops when they were left as single mothers with young families to rear on their own. Their parents each continued their family’s floral tradition and they have been among the state’s most successful and respected shop owners for over forty years.
