Where are the Heart of NC Wedding Planners Based?
Since our company is based in the Triangle Area, most of our wedding planning companies are, too. In other words, most of our planners are based in Raleigh, Durham, Cary or Chapel Hill.
However, several of these firms have planners based in other regions of the state. For example, C & D Events has a division covering Winston-Salem, Greensboro and the NC Mountains. Magnolia Collective has planners based in cities across NC, as well as a Richmond NC division. French Bee is based in New Bern, and covers the entire Eastern NC region. ACE Weddings is based in Charlotte and Raleigh but covers the entire state. Dogwood Gatherings is based in the Chapel Hill area, and also covers Charleston. Virtue Events plans weddings all over the country. And CMC plans honeymoons or destination weddings in any location on the planet.
Truly, each one of these planners has planned events all over the state of NC. So no matter where you’re getting married, these pros are fully capable.
How to Select Your NC Wedding Planner
You should hire your wedding planner after selecting your date.
A full service wedding planner will help with your budget, timeline, and hiring vendors. They will be with you for every decision. This model is perfect for busy professional NC engaged couples who can’t time off work for appointments. Your planner can act as your representative in negotiations.
A wedding designer is a step up from full service planning. It’s exactly what it sounds like – they create the look for your event. That means everything from floral design, floor plans, paper details and more.
If you cannot afford a full service, you should still book partial service or month-of wedding planning. (Please note, there is really no such thing as “day-of” wedding planning).
Many Raleigh, Durham and Chapel Hill wedding venues actually require that you hire a wedding planner to run the day. In this case, you would make the majority of planning decisions and then hand those details off to the coordinator to run the wedding weekend. Trust us, this is a good idea. A good planner knows the right questions to ask to make sure the couple hasn’t missed any crucial steps in the planning process. They will also confirm with the vendors to make sure contracts are being followed, and they will keep the wedding party informed of expectations for the wedding. Finally, they run the action on the rehearsal and the wedding day.
