This New Bern wedding venue is one of our favorites. From microweddings to large, lively parties, Tryon Palace is unlike any wedding venue you’ve seen. Originally North Carolina’s capital, this historic site offers timeless romance with sculpture gardens, colonial sites and architecture along the riverfront.

The Stanly House Garden offers a formal 18th century area ideal for a warm, summer wedding with the flower gardens nearby. The Dot Tyler Garden at the Historic Jones House offers a colorful array of garden beds with various plants and flowers. Inspired by the 19th century New Bern gardens, it features a distant view of the Palace. The Latham garden is another formal setting with colonial gardens and flowers that bloom seasonally. The Hawks Allée is a European-style harden with marble statues and beautiful plants blooming back and forth year round.
