With rolling hills and picturesque scenery, Oakland Farm creates a beautiful backdrop for your celebration. Since welcoming its first guests in 2015, Oakland Farm has been excited about bringing the vision of each couple to life on their big day.

The farm is located on 18 acres of forest and horse pastures in Bear Creek, North Carolina. This venue is easily accessible from Raleigh and the rest of the Triangle. In total, the farm can accommodate up to 350 guests. Gather your loved ones at one of two patios for cocktail hour before sharing your vows. Then, say “I do” at the grand outdoor pavilion or inside the barn, which has exposed wood, antler chandeliers and a fireplace. There’s also a sweet farmhouse on the property for overnight stays.

The Harrington – Modern Farm Venue Outside of Raleigh

This modern barn venue is located on a 400-acre working farm in Broadway, North Carolina. From the moment they arrive at The Harrington, your guests will enjoy the feeling of privacy and serenity that the sprawling property provides.

Union Grove Farm boasts more than 10 acres of vineyards, gardens and orchards just a few minutes from downtown Chapel Hill. In total, Union Grove occupies nearly 500 acres. If you’re willing to look just a short distance outside of Raleigh, you’ll find one of the best barn venues in North Carolina. The Carolina Barn is situated in Spring Lake, which is near Fayetteville, North Carolina. This polished and elegant barn has incredible craftsmanship and 38-foot ceilings. The barn is located on a farm that has been operating for more than 250 years, and you’ll find that the property’s outdoor spaces are just as impressive as the barn’s interiors.

The Historic Wakefield Barn

Treasured historic details fill this restored dairy barn. This large barn just outside of downtown Raleigh can host hundreds for your ceremony and reception. The entire property is about 14 acres total and is home to a working horse farm, too, so there will be four-legged friends present on your special day – perfect for a fun photo op! The first level of the barn is often used as a cocktail area or reception space. Original doors and stall numbers give it a rustic feel. On the second level, your guests will be wowed by the soaring 32-foot ceilings. There’s more than 6,000 square feet of space in the main hall, plus twin staircases that beg to be adorned with florals. Fearrington Village is home to an award-winning Relais & Chateaux hotel, restaurant and so much more. But did you know the property also has a rustic, charming event barn? WinMock at Kinderton – Winston Salem’s Historic and Unique Wedding Venue Barn

We love this barn venue in the NC Triad because it doesn’t look like any other. What once was a dairy farm has been beautifully restored. The classic red and white barn evokes Gothic architecture. The wrought iron chandeliers and original wood beams are stunning. Bistro lights twinkle under the barn’s vaulted ceiling.

The barn at WinMock at Kinderton contains several spaces for getting ready, and for events large and small. Each side of the barn has a large patio that can be used for outdoor ceremonies or cocktail hours, too. And there’s more! The Granary, where animal feed was once stored, has been converted into an intimate event space for smaller weddings.

If Instagram has anything to say about the photo-ops that come along with lavender fields, it should not surprise you that a local family decided we needed one here in NC. Thus began Lavender Oaks Farm, a true destination wedding venue in Chapel Hill. Two historic barn structures are receiving new life at Lavender Oaks. The reception barn has been fully modernized to maximize comfort for an indoor celebration. The Pavillion Barn is a rustic, open-air barn with modern features such as chandeliers to add character to the historic structure. The property also has on-site cottage guest houses, which are perfect accommodations for the wedding party or close family.

The Meadows at Firefly Preserve – Hundred-Acre Farm Wedding Venue in Raleigh

The Meadows happens to be one of our fave farm venues in Raleigh, NC. We fell in love with this sprawling venue when we hosted our 2023 fashion editorial photo shoot there! The 115-acre property has several spaces ideal for outdoor wedding ceremonies, tented and indoor receptions and cocktail hours.

No matter which spot you pick, you’ll have a beautiful backdrop of rolling fields. Yet, the comfort of modern amenities is just a few steps away from any of these outdoor sites. Heron Hall offers floor-to-ceiling windows and a modern look with white walls, plus a beautiful stained-glass chapel window. There’s also a unique pergola, patio space and a built-in bar. Right next to Heron Hall is a cabin for wedding parties to get ready at, plus Aerie House, a two-story home with multiple rooms for hair and makeup teams to work their magic.
