Our downtown Raleigh wedding venue guide wouldn’t be complete without a mention of one of our favorite rooftop wedding venues: La Terrazza. We know and love Umbria Hospitality Group, which operates La Terrazza as well as Melrose Knitting Mill, (another Raleigh venue standout) plus multiple downtown Raleigh restaurants.

Downtown Raleigh’s Upscale, Eclectic Restaurant Wedding Venue
Stepping into Vidrio is like exploring a modern art gallery meshed with the enticing flavors of creative Mediterranean fine dining. This upscale downtown Raleigh wedding venue has a metropolitan vibe.
Vidrio can host up to 250 people across multiple event spaces. There are two levels full of breathtaking decor, including a wall covered in a rainbow of blown glass to match the venue’s name (“vidrio” means glass in Spanish). This Raleigh restaurant is well equipped to host rehearsal dinners, intimate wedding ceremonies and microweddings, as well as big receptions.

Warehouse Wedding Venues with Style in Downtown Raleigh
Market Hall – The Gem of Raleigh’s City Market
If you’re looking for a wedding venue with distinct style, downtown Raleigh has several refurbished warehouses with personality. Market Hall stands out. The repurposed warehouse has tons of exposed brick. Plus, it’s surrounded by romantic cobblestone streets.
Inside, Market Hall has soaring 20-foot ceilings and an Old World look. Market Hall is one of the most sought-after warehouse wedding venues in Raleigh, with two large ballrooms under one roof. There’s also an upstairs loft, which can be used as a cocktail hour lounge. An iron staircase connects the loft to the main space and is a centerpiece of the venue – perfect for making a grand entrance to your ceremony.

A Chic Raleigh Industrial Warehouse Wedding Venue
Market Hall is not the only venue situated along the cobblestone streets of City Market. The Grove at City Market also draws on the romantic market lights and walkable streets of this Raleigh district. Yet, this intimate venue is designed for smaller groups of about 100 to 150.
There’s a large, outdoor patio for ceremonies and cocktail hour with a fire pit and lounge. There’s also intimate indoor spaces with lots of vintage fixtures and exposed brick.

The Stockroom at 230
Another Heart of NC Weddings favorite is The Stockroom at 230. An urban venue with big-city loft flair, The Stockroom is situated on the second floor at 230 Fayetteville St. This spacious, historic Raleigh event space is easy to fall in love with. Exposed brick walls and wooden lattice ceilings open up to gorgeous windows. There is a unique elevated area, perfect for a lounge, a buffet or other uses. There is also a large chalk wall – fun to decorate with custom artwork or your wedding monogram!


The Stockroom at 230 can host large weddings – up to 275 for a standing reception. This wedding venue is also just a short walk away from downtown Raleigh hotels and restaurants.
In the same building, there’s a suite called The Glass Box. This penthouse can be used as a dressing suite the day of your wedding at The Stockroom, or booked for an intimate microwedding. The Glass Box makes a gorgeous backdrop for getting ready, with views of the city all around. Imagine taking portraits on its open-air roof deck!
Beautifully Refurbished Mill in Downtown Raleigh

You’ve probably eaten at Sitti and Gravy in downtown Raleigh – but did you know that they have an amazing industrial, warehouse style venue nestled behind them? Jiddi Space & Courtyard might just be Raleigh’s best kept wedding venue secret.
Equal parts modern industrial and peaceful urban oasis, the Jiddi Space & Courtyard is truly a hidden gem in downtown Raleigh. This secluded indoor and outdoor venue is perfect for events of all varieties, including wedding ceremonies and receptions, rehearsal dinners, holiday parties and corporate events.


The open-air courtyard comes equipped with market lighting, a full bar and lounge seating. There is adequate space for live music or a DJ, so if weather works out, your entire event can be alfresco. On one side of the courtyard is a fully enclosed private dining room.

The Raleigh Marriott Crabtree Valley

Heart of NC Weddings’ Fave Raleigh Wedding Chapel
Tie the knot at All Saints Chapel before moving on to a fabulous downtown reception. This is a sweet, nondenominational chapel for the modern bride who wants to walk down the aisle. If you envision a wedding in a little white chapel but are not a member of a congregation, visit this wedding venue!

This little gem was built in 1875, and was saved from demolition by Empire Properties in 2006. A preservation team spent two years restoring All Saints to its original glory. Inside you’ll find a wooden beam cathedral ceiling, stained glass windows lining the walls, and stunning woodwork.
Slim’s Dive Bar: The Perfect Downtown Raleigh Venue for a Small Wedding
Slim’s Dive Bar is a historic Raleigh venue that has been serving up beer and live music since 1999, but it’s the perfect non-traditional pick for if you’re looking for somewhere off-beat and memorable. Invite up to 80 guests to this sticker-bombed bar and follow up your “I dos” with an open-air reception on the back porch or a competitive game of pool upstairs.



Honorable Mentions: More Downtown Raleigh Wedding Venues To Discover
Traine at Seaboard Station is one of the most unique venue options you’ll find in downtown Raleigh. This warehouse is located within the historic Seaboard rail station. Commuters used Seaboard Station for years before the area was reimagined as a mixed-use development. Traine still has many beautiful, original features, like exposed brick and beams plus large windows. And one of the best features of this downtown Raleigh warehouse venues is the private outdoor patio that’s perfect for mingling during cocktail hour. There’s also a dressing suite on-site.
The Merrimon-Wynne House is nestled with Historic Oakwood – one of the oldest neighborhoods in Raleigh. This 1800s-era, two-story home is a perfect backdrop for a classic Southern wedding, complete with two gorgeous dressing suites. The house itself can even host intimate ceremonies, while the lawn and spacious Carriage House allow for larger gatherings.
The Cannon Room is an elegant, intimate wedding venue located in downtown Raleigh, just a few blocks from the North Carolina State Capitol building. This bright and airy space is in the top floor of the 1920s Capital Club skyscraper, home to a ballroom with big, beautiful windows along three walls. This lets natural light pour through the entire space. Your guests will love the views of downtown Raleigh.
The historic Boylan Heights mansion was reimagined as the 9-room boutique Heights House Hotel – a special piece of downtown Raleigh history, perfect for intimate gatherings, which can take place indoors and out. Husband-and-wife team Sarah Shepherd and Jeff Shepherd revitalized this local landmark, adding a reception area, two luxury bridal suites. arched doorways, skylights and more. Additionally, they have refinished the existing structural wood from the 1800s and repurposed it throughout the house.
The 1893 House is a gorgeous, restored home in Raleigh’s Historic Oakwood neighborhood. The property offers overnight accommodations for your and your loved ones, convenient to many other downtown venues, including The Merrimon-Wynne House.
