The Parlour at Manns Chapel holds a soft spot in the hearts of many. The historic chapel was stablished in 1887 and decommissioned in 1985. In recent years, this sweet little chapel has been refurbished. Today, it’s one of the best intimate wedding venues in Chapel Hill. Thanks to much thoughtful re-purposing, the chapel is living a second life as a one-of-a-kind space for weddings and other spirited events. 

If you envision your dream wedding setting with long farm tables filled with friends and family, passing food while sharing old memories and making new, then The Parlour at Manns Chapel is a must-see. Perfect for a NC wedding of up to 100 guests, your day at the chapel will be filled with personal touches that leave your loved ones feeling valued and inspired. The outdoor garden patio can be used as the ceremony space, cocktail hour or for post-dinner dancing under the stars! For a sweet add-on, “Ida Lou,” a 1976 airstream can be used as a suite for getting ready. The beautifully restored airstream features a private dressing area, luxurious velvet seating and curtains, gown racks, and storage for all of your accessories.

All Saints Chapel: Experience the Gorgeous Venue Where Couples Have Been Getting Married For 140 Years

There’s no doubt that All Saints Chapel is one of the prettiest wedding chapels in Raleigh. The historic Raleigh chapel wedding venue is open for any couple to rent. This gorgeous chapel was built in 1875. Today, you can still admire its original glory thanks to extensive restoration the building has undergone. Inside All Saints Chapel, you’ll find beautiful stained glass windows, a wood beam cathedral ceiling and intricate woodwork. All Saints Chapel is also flexible. You can choose to hold your entire celebration at the chapel, or hold your ceremony at All Saints and choose a second reception location.

Saint Mary’s Chapel, Raleigh’s Historic White Chapel

Saint Mary’s Chapel in Raleigh might be the warm and intimate setting you’ve been searching for to host your wedding. This elegant white chapel sits on the campus of Saint Mary’s School. The campus itself is a beautiful sight to behold, while Saint Mary’s Chapel is considered the heart of the Episcopal boarding school. You don’t need to be alumni or Episcopalian to book this Raleigh wedding chapel.

Saint Mary’s Chapel is one of the most quaint and charming wedding chapels in NC. Architect Richard Upjohn designed the chapel in the popular Gothic Revival style. Many gorgeous architectural details that will make your ceremony unforgettable. Saint Mary’s Chapel was built in 1856 and retains many of its original elements. The steep gable roof, lovely octagonal stained glass window above the entrance and the gabled entryway are all original. Saint Mary’s Chapel has the capacity to host up to 250 guests. 

River Dunes: Coastal North Carolina Wedding Chapel

This waterfront Eastern NC wedding venue is situated where the Pamlico Sound meets the Neuse River. River Dunes is located in a town called Oriental, NC. The unique setting of this intimate chapel within a coastal community means that there’s no shortage of attractions and activities for wedding guests to enjoy. River Dunes can accommodate indoor or outdoor ceremonies at the chapel, depending on your guest count, the time of year and your preference. Conveniently, nearby spaces like the Harbor Club, Lake House and Boat House Pavilion and Amphitheater provide settings for receptions and rehearsal dinners.

Greg Poole, Jr. All Faiths Chapel in Raleigh – This modern chapel located at Dorothea Dix Park in Raleigh was built in 1955. The chapel features terrazzo floors, decorative wood details and a beautiful rose stained-glass window. The chapel was renovated in 2020 and now offers modern features while retaining it’s original charm.

Duke Chapel – To book this highly coveted Durham chapel, you or your betrothed, or your parents or grandparents, must be a current full-time Duke University student, Duke graduate or full-time employee of the university. Eligibility also extends to current members of the Board of Trustees, and faculty and staff who retired from Duke after fifteen or more years of continuous service plus their children and grandchildren. Keep in mind, Duke Chapel is in very high demand, and couples have been known to camp out in order to book their desired date!

Other details: No alcohol is permitted. The Chapel accepts reservations one year before the wedding month.

Unity Center of Peace in Chapel Hill – This “little chapel in the woods” is a nondenominational wedding chapel option in Chapel Hill that welcomes all couples.
